About Me
Anna is local to the area and grew up nearby in Solon, Maine. She received her masters degree in physical therapy from University of New England in Biddeford, Maine, and her doctorate degree in physical therapy from Arcadia University in Glenside, Pennsylvania. She also has achieved status as a fellow in orthopaedic manual physical therapy through the American Academy of Manual Physical Therapists.
Growing up, Anna was always interested in sports. She excelled in basketball and played for the women’s team at University of New England. She also spent a couple of years as a whitewater rafting guide, and dabbled in competitive freestyle kayaking as well as mountain biking.
As a teen-ager, Anna sustained a severe knee injury and underwent months of physical therapy, which is what sparked her initial interest in the profession. Although rehabilitation of athletes was rewarding and exciting, the challenge she enjoyed the most was piecing together the puzzle of chronic pain. Over the years she has expanded her knowledge and refined her skill set to make the treatment of chronic pain her niche.
Anna is married with 2 young boys. She and her family enjoy skiing, mountain biking, fishing, boating, and going to the beach.
